We had our first successful MOPS meeting yesterday! I brought my camera to take pictures, but forgot to take any. Isn't that how it always is? We had a good turnout, I think we had around 20 people. Our steering team all bought matching shirts and that was fun. Next time I will get a picture of all of us in our shirts. We all got to know each other and introduced our theme for the rest of the year. It was great. I feel like I could have done better as the emcee, but alas, I know that isn't my gift. I think they all understand that. I can only get better- right? The Steering Team did recieve and email from a lady that came saying she was really encouraged and got what she needed after a long week of mothering. I guess we did something right! I spent some time with a girl who came via the Voice of Hope Pregnancy Center. We are giving her credit for mommy bucks every time she comes to MOPS. She can use Mommy Bucks at the pregancy center to buy things for her baby. If you couldn't make it yesterday and would like to come sometime- we meet the 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month!

In addition to our MOPS meeting we hosted our Sunday School class' Valentine's party at our house last night. We had a great turn out. We played the Newlywed game and enjoyed chocolate and cheese fondue! Mmmm. I made some dark chocolate fondue with cream mixed in. It was pretty good! Joel and I didn't win the Newlywed Game. Some questions we got right were- Joel's prized possession is his Dovetail Arrowhead- I just called it an Arrowhead. Joel knew that my favorite bedtime snack was a peppermint patty. A few that we missed were- How many dates did we have before our first kiss. I said 24 dates. Joel didn't remember. Joel also didn't remember the color of the nightgown I wore on our wedding night. Funny cause it was the one he gave me that night... We all had a great time and laughed a lot!

While the adults were partying, we set the kids up with a video in Claire and Chloe's room. We have never had tv's in any of our bedrooms, so this was a special treat. Chloe fell asleep before any one arrived (at 6:30) and the other two lasted until about 9. They were very well behaved though and we hardly knew they were there. So, they got to have a little fun too. Joel took the girls out to breakfast this morning and to the library. I got to stay home with my little shadow, Collin. A little alone time with our children! :)
