Today, my little brother John turns 28!
Boy, do I feel old!
Let me tell you about my brother John. John has always been very smart. He is attending graduate school right now. He has always been a very good student. He is good at math and could tell you all kinds of sports statistics.
John has a special interest in teaching English as a second language. He has studied in Spain and in Mexico. He has been tutoring Japanese students for several years as he was working through college and has continued doing this. He has a special connections with kids. My kids love it when he comes over. Chloe is especially attached to him right now. He gives them all equal attention and makes them feel very special and loved, in some ways that Joel and I can't. He is a great Uncle to have around!
I have also know John to be very Godly even at a young age. He has encouraged me to look at my life and priorities at times. He has grown up to be a loyal friend and great brother. We love it when he comes to visit us for a few days.
John is also responsible for bringing Nintendo into our family. When John was in 5th grade, he saved his money and bought his own Nintendo. He was kind enough to share it with the family. He is still a good saver. We have many fond memories of playing Metroid, RC Pro-am, Super Mario Brothers and of course Zeldo and many more in John and Josh's room. There were rules though. You had to wear socks in their room and you couldn't leave any stray hairs on anyone's pillows. I think that was more Josh than John though. Good times.
We love you John and hope you have a great birthday!
