Operation Successful

Sunday, I got a lot done around the house. I finished up Claire's room in the morning and organized most of the kitchen before Joel even got home from church! I took out several things in my kitchen. I had a Longaberger Mug Tree that I decided to put away. We don't even use those coffee mugs. I also cleaned up our medicine cupboard and threw away a lot of expired meds and took a bunch upstairs. I was using our bread box to keep medicine in. I am going to start putting bread in it- imagine that! ;) I also put away 2 serving trays I was using to hold clutter in the kitchen. It is so much easier to cook on a clean counter!

When Claire starts school, I want to have a place for everything. I want to be able to find the papers we need etc... My next project is the office. It ends up being our overflow room. Whenever we have company- all the clutter goes in there. Wouldn't it be nice to not have any clutter to throw in there? That is my ultimate goal.

Sunday afternoon, I started on my room! Yea! Usually Joel complains when I want to rearrange our room, but he didn't this time. It looks much better and is more functional. It is so clean! Claire and Chloe's room is still looking good too. Claire has been making her bed and putting her clothes away all week. I think she is excited to have a clean room.

I would say that my de-clutter operation has been successful!

YEAH!!! Pat yourself on the back for a job WELL DONE...

...then pray for me. I hear many a Mom going through the same anxious thoughts right now. Tis the season of panic over the thought of a school year beginning amongst chaos! All those things on the declutter list still sit there while vacations & VBS have whirled around you.

But August is the time! It WILL happen this month. (I just keep telling myself that - it soothes me!) It does encourage me to hear it is happening for you, Sister.:) Pray my dream can soon become reality... LAW
