In with the New, Out with the Old

Joel came home early one day last week and suggested we get a new refrigerator because Sears was having a sale. I didn't get my hopes up. I wasn't sure why we really needed one. We already had 2! We have the one that came with the house when we moved here and the one from our old house we use for drinks in the garage. Mostly for Soy Milk- not alcoholic drinks. :)

In doing some research I discovered that your refrigerator is about 20% of your electric bill. Here we are running 2 at a time and one of them is in the hot garage! We decided to go ahead and check out the sales. We were invited to the friends and family sale to receive and extra 10% off on Sunday night. They also didn't have the model we wanted in stock and it is not being made anymore. We had to take the floor model- with only $25 off the price. Still, ended up to be a great deal. I really wanted a black one, but they didn't have anymore of those. The one we got is called Satin- a look alike for stainless steel. It doesn't leave fingerprints- we couldn't live with all the fingerprints! Anyway, it came today. It is much larger than our other 2 and we can't wait to fill it with our food and see how much we will really save on our electric bill.
