Joel brought home a bucket of corn last night. I got the kids to help with the shucking (is that the right term?) They really had a lot of fun. At first Claire was frustrated and thought she couldn't do it. Then she saw that Super Collin was having no problem whatsoever! She gave it another try and succeeded. Chloe was even successful. It was a very cute and happy memory! Joel being a farmer and all, I know we will have many more this year and in the years to come!
There was a time when I wouldn't allow Joel to bring sweet corn into the house! Does anyone know why? It was when I was pregnant with Claire. I was so sick, I developed an aversion to the smell of corn. I couldn't even think about it. I am finally over that. It is 6 years later and I can enjoy sweet corn again. I am sure Joel is happy about that since he could survive on it if he had to. Have you ever seen anyone eat 5-6 ears at a time?!
