Have you been to the Columbus Zoo lately?

Last wednesday, Joel called and asked if we would like to go to the Zoo. The answer was,"of course!" The zoo is open until 8 on Wednesday nights during the summer. They actually have a lot of activities and animals out for touching during the evening hours. The kids got to touch a turtle and a snake and feel a rhino horn and tiger fur.

We packed our supper and ate a picnic there. It was a great evening. I enjoy the zoo so much especially since I used to teach ZooKids there. It is such a family friendly place. We even ate ice-cream on the way home. (Fruit Sorbet for Claire)

I highly recommend a family outing to the zoo this summer. If you can go on a Wednesday afternoon, you may miss the crowds and the heat of the day!
